Interview with Ock Soon Lee
Ock Soon Lee talks about her childhood in Korea, the years she spent on her own during the war, meeting the American serviceman she married, and her life afterwards in Pennsylvania.
Background
Ock Soon Lee was born in Korea in June 1933. She was put to forced labor as a child and lived through the Korean War on her own. She married Frank Crimbchin, an American serviceman, and came to Pennsylvania with him in 1954. There she helped start a Korean church, and she has helped pay for wells in communities that needed them.
